Bond is ran by one instructor, Katie, and she is a fully trained baby massage instructor, studying with the International Association of Infant Massage and a baby yoga instructor, having trained with Birthlight.  Katie has also obtained her Hypnobirthing teaching qualification with Love Your Birth and is an advanced sound practitioner after attending a IPHM accredited crystal singing bowl course with Empower Wellness.

Unfortunately, all our courses have to be pre-booked in advance.  The number of people per class is limited, so it is advisable to book as soon as you feel ready.

Can I come to a taster class?

Due to our courses being structured in two or three sessions or as a four week course, we are unable to offer taster classes.  However, we are happy to discuss with you what our courses involve and answer as many questions as you want, to help you to decide whether our courses are right for you before booking.

How many are in each class?

We like to keep our classes small for a more personal and intimate service. Our luxury baby massage and baby yoga courses have a maximum of 6 parents and their babies. Our Hypnobirthing courses have a maximum of 5 people plus birth partners (maximum of 10).

I have twins and want to come to book a baby massage/ baby yoga course, do I have to pay for two spaces?

No, you just pay for one space.  Please message us separately, so we can put out extra mats etc to make you as comfortable as possible.

What if my baby is asleep?

We would suggest letting your baby sleep.  We should never practice baby massage or yoga on a sleeping baby.

In our luxury baby massage course, you can sit back and relax whilst you observe your teacher doing the massage strokes and you have your personalised massage guide to practice at home, when your baby is awake.

In our luxury baby yoga course, we split the class between gentle stretching and breathwork for you and stretches, songs and yoga moves for your baby, so you will still be able to partake in a lot of the class and you can watch the baby activities and get some ideas for home.

What if my baby cries?

Babies cry and that is perfectly OK. Please feel free to cuddle, rock or get up and walk around with your baby.  Our classes are baby-led, so if your baby needs a feed, change or just a hug, please never feel any pressure to join in.  In our baby massage classes, we repeat the massage strokes done in the previous week's class, meaning you will always get an opportunity to practice the strokes.  In our baby yoga classes, feel free to join in with the breathwork or songs or just join back in whenever you and your little one are ready.

I cannot make one of the classes, can I just pay for the weeks I can attend?

As they are structured courses, the class you cannot attend cannot be filled with someone else.  In our baby massage course, we will always repeat the strokes from the previous week and we are happy to send you some of the yoga move and songs we did from your missed session, if you would like to do them at home.

What if we cannot make a class for one week?

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a refund for a session that you have missed.  Due to our courses being structured, we are unable to fill your space if you are unable to attend.

What if me or my baby are ill?

If you or your baby have a high temperature, heavy cold or conjunctivitis , please avoid attending to avoid passing onto the other parents or babies in the group.

Can I bring my partner or grandparent along to baby massage or baby yoga?

Due to space restrictions, we ask that just one parent attends and partakes in the class.

Can Dads do the baby massage or baby yoga courses?

Absolutely! Our classes are not just for mums.

Can I book on to more than one baby massage and baby yoga course?

Of course! We have lots of parents booking on to two, three (or even more) terms of our baby massage or baby yoga courses.  Our baby massage course is the same every term, however, you will get to practice the massage strokes regularly and enjoy the social time with the other parents.  The baby yoga course will be changed slightly each term.

What is Hypnobirthing?

Hypnobirthing is a toolkit for birth. In this toolkit there is a selection of relaxation and breathing techniques that will help you throughout pregnancy, birth and in some cases, beyond. It also teaches you about the physiology of birth, so you will understand how your body works during birth and how you can support it.  Most courses will teach you about the medical interventions that may be offered to you, for instance an induction, and the pros and cons of these, so you can make informed decisions (the Bond Hypnobirthing course covers this in detail!).  Its about building a strong and positive mindset about birth and how your brain impacts birth.  Finally, and probably most importantly, it teaches you about your rights.  Before booking a Hypnobirthing course, we would recommend checking that all of these areas are covered.
